Introduction

Your privacy is very important to us. Please read this Privacy Policy carefully before using the Pozible website, mobile apps or any related services (collectively, the “Platform”). By accessing or using the Platform you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to the practices described below, as well as our Terms and Conditions.

This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, when we disclose it, and what choices you have, including how to request deletion of your data.

1. An Important Note About Children

Persons under 18 may only use the Platform under the supervision of a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it immediately.

Our primary purpose in collecting information is to provide you with a smooth, efficient, customised and secure crowdfunding experience.

Cookies and similar technologies are used to keep you signed in, remember preferences and show relevant ads. You can control cookies in your browser settings; some Platform features may not work if you disable them.


3. How We Use Your Information

We use the personal information we collect to:

  1. Provide, operate and maintain the Platform;

  2. Verify identity, prevent fraud and ensure legal compliance;

  3. Process payments and payouts via our PCI‑DSS compliant payment partners;

  4. Respond to enquiries, provide customer support and resolve disputes;

  5. Improve and personalise our services through analytics and research;

  6. Send administrative emails and, with your consent, marketing messages (you may opt out at any time);

  7. Show interest‑based advertising via Google Ads Remarketing and similar networks (see Section 10).


4. When We Share Your Information

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may disclose it only:

  • To other users involved in a transaction (e.g. supporters see a creator’s name; creators see supporters’ names and emails);

  • To service providers and partners who help us run the Platform (hosting, payments, analytics, marketing), bound by confidentiality agreements;

  • To affiliates, joint‑ventures or successor entities in the event of a merger, acquisition or restructuring, provided they honour this Policy;

  • When required by law enforcement, regulators or court order (see “Legal Requests” below);

  • With your explicit consent for any other purpose.


5. Your Responsibilities When Using Other Users’ Information

If you obtain another user’s information through Pozible you may use it only for Platform‑related purposes and must give that user a chance to opt out of any mailing list you create. Spam is strictly prohibited.


6. Email & Messaging Tools

You may not use Pozible’s messaging features to send spam or any content that violates this Policy or our Terms. We monitor abuse and may suspend accounts that misuse these tools.


7. Security of Your Account

You are responsible for safeguarding your password. If you believe your credentials have been compromised, change your password immediately and contact support.


8. Your Choices & Rights

8.1 Access and Correction

You can review and edit most profile information at any time in Account Settings.

8.2 Data Portability

Email [email protected] to request an export of the personal data we hold about you (JSON format). We will respond within 30 days.

8.3 Data Deletion (including Facebook Data)

In‑app: go to Account Settings → Delete Account.
Email: send a request to [email protected] with the subject “Delete My Data” - this includes Facebook Login data.

We will erase or anonymise your information within 30 days, except where retention is required for fraud‑prevention, dispute resolution or legal compliance.

8.4 Marketing Opt‑Out

Every marketing email contains an Unsubscribe link. You can also adjust your preferences in Account Settings.


9. International Transfers

Pozible’s servers are currently located in the United States and Australia. When you use the Platform, your information may be transferred, stored and processed outside your country of residence. We rely on standard contractual clauses and other safeguards to protect your data where required.


10. Cookies & Remarketing

We use cookies for essential functionality (e.g. keeping you logged in) and analytics. We also use Google Ads Remarketing to show ads based on past visits. You can opt out of Google’s cookie tracking here: https://support.google.com/ads/answer/2662922?hl=en-AU.


11. Security Measures

We implement industry‑standard safeguards such as HTTPS, TLS encryption, firewall protection, access controls and regular security audits. While no online service can guarantee absolute security, we work hard to protect your information.

If a data breach affecting EU residents occurs, we will notify the relevant supervisory authority and affected individuals within 72 hours, where feasible.


12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will give you at least 30 days’ notice by posting the update on the Platform and, if you have opted in, by email. Continued use of the Platform after that date constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
